Ugly Love- Colleen Hoover

Summary: When Tate Collins meets pilot Miles Archer, she doesn't think it's love at first sight at all. They wouldn't even consider themselves friends. The only thing they have in common is a mutual attraction. Once they get to know each other more, they realize they have the perfect set-up. Since he doesn't want love and she doesn't have time for love. Their arrangement could be seamless as long as Tate can stick to the only 2 rules Miles has for her, which are never ask about the past, and don't expect a future. They thought they would be able to handle that, but quickly realize they can't. Love gets ugly.  After reading almost every single one of Colleen Hoover's books I can honestly say this is my favorite one. The storyline was truly amazing to read. This book was really intense and had soo much emotion that went into it that kept me hooked the entire time and had me wishing it would never end. The ending was such a turn of events which I think is

Maybe Someday- Colleen Hoover

Everything begins to change when she finds out that her boyfriend is cheating on her. She has to make the difficult decision on what her next move should be. Sydney quickly becomes attracted to her neighbor Ridge. She can't take her eyes off him or stop listening to the way he plays his guitar on his balcony every day. Ridge becomes attracted to Sydney as well, and they both realize they need each other for more ways than they thing.  I was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked this book just from all the mixed reviews about it. I think there were a lot of parts to the book that were very relatable for people our age, which I think helped me like the book more. This book took me on an emotional rollercoaster, as there were some funny parts but also some heartbreaking parts as well. All the ups and downs that Sydney had to

Losing Hope- Colleen Hoover

Summary: This is the second book in the Hopeless series, and we finally learn the truth about Dean Holder. His life has been overshadowed by a lot of guilt, and he is haunted by the little girl he couldn't save from danger. He has continued to look for her, hoping that once he finds her it will bring him the peace he needs to move on. Holder couldn't even imagine the pain he would feel as he reconnects with her for the first time. He explains the events of Sky's childhood that affected him and his family. He can only love himself when he starts to love Sky.  Given this was the second book in the Hopeless series and I really liked the first one, I had a lot higher hopes for this one but it kind of disappointed me. Although it was still very good I think it was missing some parts. I feel like there was a lot of overlapping from Hopeless so I pretty much knew what was happening majority of the book. This book was just from Holder's perspective so I feel as if it wasn'

Slammed- Colleen Hoover

Summary: Layken is forced to be the rock for her mother and younger brother after her father unexpectedly passed away. She tries to stay strong for her mom and brother but she is starting to lose hope. Layken decides to move across the country and soon meets her neighbor, Will, who has a passion for slams. Just after meeting they form a strong connection that leaves Layken with a sense of hope she's been missing. Shortly after their first date they get slammed with shocking news that puts a sudden halt to their new relationship. Their daily interactions become emotionally painful as they're having a hard time finding a balance between the feelings that pulled them together in the first place and the revelation that tears them apart. Poetry is the only way they are able to speak the truth that is in their hearts.  I have mixed feelings after reading this book. At times I thought it was very good, but I also thought it was missing something at some points. This book isn't re

Heart Bones- Colleen Hoover

Summary: Beyah Grim is finally able to get out of her hometown, where she grew up with poverty and neglect. She got a full ride to go to Penn State. She experienced an unexpected death that leaves her with no where to live, so she is now forced to live with her father that she barely knows and doesn't have much of a relationship with. She meets her next door neighbor, Samson, who she has no patience for, but their connection is so deep it's hard for her to ignore it. They both agreed that since they will be moving to opposite sides of the country, their relationship will just be a summer thing, but they soon realize that is much harder than they thought it would be.  I was surprised at how much I was into this book and how much I liked it, I didn't have high hopes for it considering I hadn't heard much about it. There was so much emotion tied into this book that made it even better. Colleen Hoover did such a good job at really going into detail about each characters li

Layla- Colleen Hoover

Summary: When Layla and Leeds meet, Leeds believes that he will spend the rest of his life with her, until an unexpected health issue leaves Layla fighting for her life. Layla continues to spend weeks in the hospital, but after she has recovered physically she is left with emotional and mental damage. Leeds decided to take Layla back to where they first met, but Layla's behavior takes a huge turn. Leeds meets Willow at the place he took Layla back to, which they soon find a connection with each other. Leeds realizes he needs to choose between Layla and Willow, but he is scared if he makes the wrong choice it will affect all of them.  Layla and Verity are very similar in the way they were written. I decided to read this one after I heard it was like Verity because Verity is one of my favorites. It kind of took me by surprise because although it is like Verity it is also very different. The storyline definitely kept me hooked to the book but there were some things that were kind of

Regretting You- Colleen Hoover

Summary: Morgan Grant tries very hard to prevent her daughter from making the same mistakes she did growing up. Morgan got married and got pregnant at a very young age, and her daughter Clara doesn't want to follow in her footsteps. Clara and Morgan find it very difficult to get along and be around each other, but the other person that can make it manageable for them is Chris, Morgans husband. This suddenly comes to a halt when Chris is involved in a bad accident. Clara and Morgan both rely on someone else for comfort during this hard time. As time passes new things get brought up that cause the mother and daughter to fall even further apart.  This book gave me all the emotions as I was reading it. It made me happy, mad, sad, etc. I think Colleen Hoover did a great job of describing everything that Morgan had to go through to be there for her daughter even if they didn't have the best relationship. This book wasn't just about romance, but also family issues which I think r
