Layla- Colleen Hoover

 Summary: When Layla and Leeds meet, Leeds believes that he will spend the rest of his life with her, until an unexpected health issue leaves Layla fighting for her life. Layla continues to spend weeks in the hospital, but after she has recovered physically she is left with emotional and mental damage. Leeds decided to take Layla back to where they first met, but Layla's behavior takes a huge turn. Leeds meets Willow at the place he took Layla back to, which they soon find a connection with each other. Leeds realizes he needs to choose between Layla and Willow, but he is scared if he makes the wrong choice it will affect all of them. 


Layla and Verity are very similar in the way they were written. I decided to read this one after I heard it was like Verity because Verity is one of my favorites. It kind of took me by surprise because although it is like Verity it is also very different. The storyline definitely kept me hooked to the book but there were some things that were kind of hard to believe. This book had a lot of twist and turns and things I didn't expect. Overall I'm glad I read this book and would recommend it to people who like a romance, mystery, and paranormal book.

    I just recently started reading again, and Verity is one of the books I have read. I really enjoyed it, so I definitely think I will check this one out. Verity had a really unique and well-done writing style, so I am glad to see that Colleen Hoover has written in that style more. Thank you so much for posting this, as I am always looking for new twisty thrillers!

It Starts With Us- Colleen Hoover

 Summary: It Starts With Us is the second book that goes along with It Ends With Us. In this book Lily and Ryle start to learn how to coparent now that they are divorced. Lily runs into her first love, Atlas again and they go on a date. Atlas is the one man Ryle does not want Lily to be with. Lily has to learn how to navigate around her ex husband and learn to do whatever she wants. Atlas and Lily really hit it off, and Atlas tells her that she changed his life and taught him what love was. Ryle is so mad at that fact that Atlas and Lily are together, Lily has to hide from him. Atlas and Lily are able to move on having to deal with Ryle and get to live their happily ever after.  I think this book had a lot more twists then It Ends With Us. It took a lot of bravery for Lily to be able to stand up to Ryle and be able to continue to a relationship with Atlas despite having to deal with an abusive Ryle. Hopeless- Colleen Hoover

 Summary: Sky meets Dean Holder he senior year of high school and quickly learns that he doesn't have a good reputation. From their first interaction she feels very uneasy around him and kind of scared around him. Dean starts to remind Sky of someone from her past that she is trying very hard to forget. She tries hard to stay away from him but their bond eventually grows. Dean has been keeping secrets from Sky but once she finds them out, she is changed forever. She now has no ability to trust anyone.  Although I say this about almost every Colleen Hoover book I read, this one genuinely is one of my favorites lol.
